The Department of Teligu was started at the YVNR Government Degree College, Kaikaluru in 1982. The Department has only a  sanctioned . The Faculty member  currently working in the department is Ms. M. Sunanda.  She is currently doing Ph. D. As a part of Telugu Teaching, the language had been taught till the 4th semester upto 2019-20. Since the year of 2020 - 2021, it has been taught in  the  first 3 semesters  of Graduation
